Members of the Hull FC squad have been spreading the Christmas cheer paying a visit to the Hull Royal Infirmary children's ward.
First-team stars Joe Westerman, Chris Green, Brad Fash, Mickey Paea and Jordan Lane took the opportunity to meet and greet children who are unfortunate enough to be spending the festive period in hospital.
The club's annual tradition saw members of our first team squad joined by Airlie Bird and Girlie Bird to put smiles on young faces at what can be a tough time of year for families with children in hospital.
The players handed out gifts to the youngsters to bring some joy to children in the Woman's and Children's Hospital.
Jordan Lane said: "It's really important to us to get out into the community at this time of year and put some smiles on faces to those who are in a less fortunate situation that ourselves.
"Nobody wants to be in this situation at Christmas time so we're just here to do what we can and hopefully brighten up some of the youngsters' days."
Mickey Paea said: "Some of the kids in here are doing it tough at the moment. It's a reminder of the reality that some people won't be spending Chistmas in the comfort of their own home.
"Some of us here have young kids so it's a reminder of the reality of how tough life can be at what is meant to be a happy time of year."
