Tries from Lucas Walshaw, Michael Ward, Luke Hooley and Josh Hodson saw the Bulldogs race into a 22-0 lead at half-time, with Jonny Campbell crossing twice in the second period and Alistair Leak completing the rout.
Oliver Davies and Sam Wilde scored tries in the last five minutes for Widnes.
Ben Jones-Bishop scored a hat-trick as Sheffield Eagles turned an impressive first-half performance into a 34-20 win over Newcastle Thunder on Friday night.
Alex Sutton gave Newcastle the lead after seven minutes, but the home side stormed back with 30 unanswered points thanks to two tries from Jones-Bishop and further scores from Vila Halafihi, Joel Farrell and Anthony Thackeray.
Newcastle closed the gap to 30-20 before Jones-Bishop completed his hat-trick.
