Swinton Lions ran in 15 tries as they opened their Betfred League 1 campaign in emphatic fashion with an 82-4 win over West Wales Raiders.
Liam Forsyth, Max Roberts, Mike Butt, Jack Hansen, Rhodri Lloyd and Dan Abram all went over for a brace, with Abram also kicking 10 conversions.
Swinton, relegated from the Championship last year, proved far too strong for their opponents, who grabbed a score on the hooter through Macauley Harris.
Doncaster made up for last season's play-off disappointment as they kicked off with a 48-20 win over Midlands Hurricanes.
The hosts had to work hard for their win with an early try from Benn Hardcastle, followed by a conversion and a later penalty from the same player, giving the Hurricanes a 10-0 lead.
Two tries from Jason Tali helped steer Doncaster in front and they built on an 18-14 half-time lead to run in a total of eight tries, with Connor Robinson kicking eight goals.
Keighley Cougars also shrugged off last season's near-miss as they ran in six tries to win 32-6 at Oldham.
Aaron Levy and Nathan Roebuck each grabbed a brace while Alix Stephenson and Lewis Young also went over, with Owen Restall scoring for Oldham.
North Wales Crusaders withstood a late fightback from Rochdale Hornets to clinch a thrilling 36-34 away win in their opener.
The visitors saw a 16-point lead reduced to just six in a torrid second period but they nudged over the line with Scott Turner going over for two of their five tries.
Hunslet recovered from a 10-4 half-time deficit to win 28-10 at London Skolars on Saturday.
