Doncaster have announced the signing of scrum-half Connor Robinson on a one-year deal.
The 27-year-old arrives having departed Betfred Championship side Halifax Panthers last week.
Robinson started his career with hometown club Hull Kingston Rovers, and made one appearance for the Robins before his first stint at Halifax came in 2015.
It was with York City Knights though where he had his best spell to date, as he was named Betfred League One Player of the Year in 2018 as the Knights secured promotion to the second tier.
A consistent goal-kicker, Robinson has amassed 863 points during an impressive career so far, and is Richard Horne’s first signing of the close season.
He said: “I’m very pleased, there have been conversations going on for a little while so it’s good to have it all sorted.
“I’ve got a couple of mates at the club who said I would enjoy it here, and once I knew opportunities at Halifax would be limited I wanted to find a new club.
“Every time I’ve played at the Keepmoat I’ve enjoyed it and I’ve got the desire to be a success at the club.”
Chief executive Carl Hall said: “I’d like to thank Ian Croad and the Halifax club for their assistance in the making the deal happen.
“I would also like to thank Connor’s agent, Graeme Taylor for his part in bringing the player to the Dons as we know there was a lot of Championship interest in him.
“After speaking with Connor, his enthusiasm to sign for the club meant I had to do everything in my powers to get the deal across the line.”
