NCL Finals confirmed

NCL Finals confirmed

The National Conference League season will culminate with three huge finals at Featherstone Rovers’ Millennium Stadium on Saturday 16th October.

Two of the Community Game’s most successful sides – Thatto Heath Crusaders and Wath Brow Hornets – will meet in the NCL Grand Final, 2pm kick-off.

Thatto Heath are looking for their third Grand Final victory after narrowly edging out 2018 winners Hunslet Club Parkside, 18-16, in this past weekend’s Semi-Finals.

As for Wath Brow, they earned a comfortable 44-8 victory against Pilkington Recs to book their place in the Grand Final. The Cumbrian side are going in search of their second NCL title after previously lifting the trophy in 2012.

The action will get underway as Kells face West Hull in the NCL Plate Final, with the finalist formed of teams who exited the Play-Offs in the opening round.

Kells finished the regular season in 2nd place in the League A while West Hull – who have won the NCL Grand Final on more occasions (9) than any other side - also placed in 2nd in League G.

The final fixture in a stacked triple-header sees St Helens-based Clock Face Miners battle East Leeds in the NCL Cup Final.

Clock Face narrowly beat Leigh East in the Semi-Finals, 18-20, while East Leeds were 34-22 victors over Woolston Rovers this past weekend.
