Workington Town slumped to a 32-14 home defeat to Hunslet in Betfred League 1 a day after seeing their promotion hopes ended.
Town knew a slip up by Barrow Raiders against West Wales Raiders was unlikely but all the same there had been a chance they would be playing for a Championship place in this one.
