Betfred Women's Super League Preview

Betfred Women's Super League Preview

Wigan Warriors welcome York City Knights to Robin Park in the weekend's only Betfred Women's Super League play-off fixture, live on Our League and Twitch.

Wigan kicked off their play-off campaign last week and fell to an agonising 10-6 home defeat at the hands of Castleford Tigers.

But they will hold some reason for optimism going into this weekend - they had an identical win record to York in the regular season with five wins from seven games but finished above their visitors - in third - thanks to a far superior points difference.

Meanwhile York fell to a disappointing 32-0 reverse at the hands of Betfred Challenge Cup winners St Helens in round one of the play-offs two weeks ago, but put in an improved performance in losing 14-4 at home to Leeds Rhinos last week - entertaining a healthy crowd at the LNER Community Stadium in the process.

This one could go either way and is not to be missed from 3pm on Sunday.

Elsewhere, the Betfred Women's Super League Shield continues as Wakefield Trinity make the trip to face Huddersfield Giants and Featherstone Rovers are at home to Bradford Bulls, both 12pm kick offs on Sunday.
