Betfred League 1 Preview
A full Betfred League 1 schedule is set for action this week with Workington Town hosting Keighley Cougars in arguably the tie of the round on Sunday, 2pm kick off.
Town have stormed to three wins from their opening four games of the season and have only been outscored by table-topping Barrow so far having registered an impressive 146 points already.
Chris Thorman's men have promotion ambitions in 2021 and wins over Hunslet, London Skolars and North Wales set up a fine start.
They did lose last time out however as Doncaster enjoyed a 26-24 success on the road but a clash with similarly ambitious Keighley could be what they need to bounce back.
In opposition, the Cougars have had an up-and-down start as losses to Barrow and Rochdale have been sandwiched by wins over Doncaster and Hunslet.
Their win over Hunslet remarkably was scoreless at half time but Keighley turned on the style after the break and ran in 40 points without reply to record an eye-catching 40-0 win.
With the likes of Scott Murrell and Jake Webster set to feature once again, they are sure to pose a threat in Cumbria.
Elsewhere in the third tier, the Our League cameras will show in-form Barrow's trip to winless West Wales Raiders, a 3pm kick off on Saturday.
Sunday's other action sees North Wales take on Coventry Bears at 2.30pm on Our League, while Doncaster host London Skolars at 3pm and Rochdale Hornets travel to face Hunslet, also a 3pm kick off.
