Betfred Women's Super League round-up

Huddersfield Giants claimed their first-ever Betfred Women's Super League win with a dramatic 28-20 triumph over Bradford Bulls on Sunday.

The Giants came from 20-12 down to claim the spoils.

The lead changed hands three times in the first half of the match as tries from Stacey Greenwood, Sarah Dunn and Grace Ramsden gave the Bulls the edge.

When Dunn scored again early in the second half, the Bulls held an eight-point cushion but the Giants finished the stronger team and ran in tries through Annie Loney, Erin Stott and Amelia Brown and Regan Walker.

Brown and Izzy Northrop had scored Huddersfield's first-half tries.

Challenge Cup semi-finalists York City Knights were 42-14 winners over Featherstone Rovers to register their first victory in the league.

Beth Blacklock scored two tries for Featherstone but they were always behind against York, for whom Rhiannon Marshall touched down twice.

Elsewhere, St Helens maintained their unbeaten record in the Betfred Women's Super League with a 54-6 win over Warrington Wolves at Victoria Park.

Saints never looked back after winger Rachael Woosey scored two tries in the first 20 minutes to establish a 12-0 lead.

Jodie Cunningham and Naomi Williams also touched down twice and other tries came from Rebecca Rotheram, Amy Hardcastle, Danielle Bush and Faye Gaskin, who also kicked seven goals.

The Wolves trailed 54-0 before Kiera McCosh grabbed a late consolation try, which was converted by Michelle Davis.

Leeds Rhinos extended their unbeaten run to four games with a 74-6 win over Wakefield Trinity.

Caitlin Beevers and Fran Goldthorp both scored hat-tricks for the reigning champions, who were leading 26-0 when Trinity scored in the final play of the first half through Abby Price.
