"Winning the league was a very good feeling for my self and my team.
"It was something we had spoke about during pre-season and the boys got down to work from the off and getting off to a winning start was a must - something for us to build on and make our home pitch a fortress.
"Through the season, the lads worked hard on the training pitch, often trying new things so we didn't come predictable in our play, always being able to adapt to the opposition we came up against.
"After winning our opening game, the boys grew in confidence and became hard to beat.
"Whether on the road or at home, we stuck together and played for each other.
"Being around the top of the table had the boys believing they could actually win the league right up to our final home game.
"We had suffered some injuries and we was down to the bare bones of our squad of 16 - we entered the game with 12 fit players on the day but the boys were up for it and put in the best performance of the season and played some great rugby, going onto win the game very comfortably.
"This season has been so rewarding - I've had most of these boys since they were under 8s and to see them grow into the team they've become is one of the best feelings you could have as a coach."
