The Betfred Super League Leaders’ Shield will be at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle on Thursday (August 17) and will be presented to Castleford Tigers should they win or draw against Wakefield Trinity.
The Tigers are currently ten points clear at the top of the table and only need one point to claim their first Super League title in their 91 year history. If Castleford get that point on Thursday evening the silverware will be awarded by Rugby Football League Chairman Brian Barwick and Betfred’s Head of Communications Mark Pearson.
The shield winners will also receive £100,000 prize money and automatically qualify for the 2018 Dacia World Club Series.
