Chase signs permanent deal at Widnes
The 31-year-old stand-off joined the Vikings on loan from Castleford Tigers in May and has now signed a two-year contract.
Widnes, who are currently second from bottom of the Betfred Super League, also announced a club record four-year deal for teenage hooker Danny Walker at a press conference chaired by head coach Denis Betts on Friday morning.
Chase, who returned for a second spell at Castleford last season after curtailed stints with Salford Red Devils and Leigh Centurions, was given the number-six shirt at the start of the year but made only eight appearances, five of them off the bench, and was twice suspended for off-field breaches of discipline.
He has made five appearances so far for the Vikings but is currently serving a two-match ban for a shoulder charge.
"I have loved my time with the Vikings since day one," Chase said. "I've been welcomed here with open arms by the club, my team-mates and the members.

"My experience here has been overwhelming so it was an easy decision to sign this permanent deal. I'm looking forward to working with Denis and my team-mates over the coming years, to help it grow and enjoy success."
Widnes are expecting big things from Walker, 18, a product of their academy with five senior appearances so far this season.
Betts said: "Both of these deals represent a real statement of intent by the Vikings, with two outstanding talents committing their futures to the club.
"Rangi has made a big impact since his arrival, contributing well both on and off the field. He has exceptional abilities and, as an international standard half-back, adds real quality to the team.
"We have seen in recent results the benefits of his skill and experience on the field. To permanently secure a player of his abilities is a sign of the club's ambition.
"Danny is one of the most promising young players in the Super League. His commitment to a four-year contract shows his belief in what we are building at the Vikings.
"We believe that Danny will be a big part of our future and I am pleased that he shares our ambitions by committing to this contract."
