Following an appeal from St Helens, an Independent Operational Rules Tribunal this evening upheld the decision to suspend Ben Barba for 12 games.
The Independent Panel, led by His Honour Judge Peter Charlesworth, confirmed the suspension originally set by the NRL and subsequently recognised by the Rugby Football League, should remain.
Since signing for St Helens, Barba has already served five games of the 12-game ban and will now be available for selection week commencing Monday, August 28 ahead of the Betfred Super League Super 8s Round 4.
