The biggest achievers from the College and University game were honoured on Saturday, as they picked up their awards in recognition of their outstanding achievements over the 2016/17 season.
The winners were presented their awards by Pat Crawshaw, Chair of the UCRL Board, at Newcastle United's St James' Park, before being presented to the Dacia Magic Weekend crowd ahead of Widnes Vikings' clash with Wakefield Trinity.
Reigning College RL champions Hopwood Hall were crowned College Team of the Year after a remarkable season which saw them lose just once, before a last-second win in the Grand Final earlier this month.
College Player of the Year went to Ryan Johnston from Furness College (Raiders).
The teenager helped his side to fifth in the Premier Division table, while signing a three year deal with Kingstone Press League 1 big guns, Barrow Raiders.
He was unable to pick up his award in person as he was in Toronto, where he played at stand off against the Wolfpack on Saturday night.
The University Team of the Year was announced as Northumbria University.
The north east outfit, who boast a number of semi-professional players in their ranks, claimed the BUCS Championship title back in March, beating Leeds Beckett 24-18 in a dramatic finale - ending Beckett's 11-year winning streak in the process.
Northumbria finished top of the regular season Premier North table, conceding just 34 points all year, while they also picked up the National 9s title in February.
