Bulls run riot in Women's Challenge Cup!

Women's Challenge Cup round-up

On Sunday, in the Women's Challenge Cup, Bradford Bulls women hosted Army RL Ladies and the home side ran away with a 92-1 win.

Shona Hoyle scored four tries and Charlotte Booth scored a hat-trick.

Savannah Andrade, Amy Hardcastle and Rhiannon Marshall all scored two each and there was one try each for Lisa Taylor, Aimee Staveley and Debbie Smith.

Beth Sutcliffe added one conversion and Lisa Taylor was on target with 13.

Barrow Ladies welcomed Oulton and it was the travelling side who emerged with the win, 58-13. Oulton's Danielle Anderson scored four tries, Aime Backhouse scored three and Reagan Walker scored two.

There were further tries for Kaitlyn Wilkinson and Kath Borough. Aimee Backhouse kicked one goal and Reagan Walker was on target with five.

Barrow's tries were scored by Emily Stirzaker, Fern Henderson and Jodie Litherhland.

Leigh Miners Rangers hosted Whitley Bay Barbarians and the two clubs enjoyed an action-packed day with Whitley bringing their Under 12s and Under 14s to play curtain-raisers for the main event.

Leigh Miners Ladies impressed in the cup game and earned a 68-6 win. Leanne Johnson scored a hat-rick of tries whilst Dawn Eaton, Megan Eastwood and Mairead Quinn all scored two each.

Celia Farimond, Claire Redfern and Megan Willoughby all scored one each. Dawn Eaton added four goals and Emily Mullen kicked two.

Elsewhere, Castleford Tigers won a hard-fought local derby with Wakefield Trinity, coming out on top 48-6 away from home.
