On Wednesday evening, Bradford Bulls Ladies welcomed Thatto Heath St Helens in the semi final of the Women's Challenge Cup.

In a close match, it was Thatto Heath who progressed to the final with a 20-16 win. Thatto's Sammie Simpson scored twice, and there were further tries for Katie May, Emily Rudge and Roxy Mura to close out the win for Thatto.

In the other Women's Challenge cup Semi Final played on Sunday, Leigh Miners Rangers welcomed Army Ladies RL and the game went right down to the wire.

Leigh grabbed the win with three minutes left on the clock - 16-14.

Leigh Miners' Georgia Sutherland scored two tries and Nicholette Postlethwaite scored one. Emily Mullen converted one of the tries and then, three minutes from time, she kept a cool head to slot the match-winning penalty goal.

The Army Ladies' tries were scored by Tony Tompkins, who scored twice, and Laura Latimer. Emma Farmer-Campbell added one conversion.

In the Women's Challenge Shield Semi Final, Normanton Knights hosted Thatto Heath St Helens Reserves and it was Thatto who made it a double-winning weekend, coming out on top 34-8.

Thatto's Tara Jones and Charlotte Hill both scored two tries each and there were further tries for Jade Ward, Chloe Hammond and Naomi Williams.Rachel Thompson added three goals.

Normanton's two tries were scored by Katie Hepworth and Chloe Brown.
