Steve McCourt, Tony Burns, Dominic Wear and Daniel Joyce were the men to cross for the visitors as Ross Gainford chipped in with two goals.

The hosts – who trailed 10-0 at the break – fought back thanks to tries from Jason Priestley and Nathan West. Tom Sheldrake and Nathan Conroy added the extras.

Ben Walker grabbed a brace of tries as EGREMONT RANGERS cruised to a comfortable 28-0 success over WIGAN ST JUDES.

Ross Brookes landed four goals for the home side whilst their other touchdowns went to Richard Farrer, Daniel Telford and Matthew Henson.

ELLAND booked their place in the round two draw thanks to a 26-0 home victory over LEEDS BECKETT UNIVERSITY.
