Warrington Wolves progressed to Round Two with a huge 80-12 victory over Wigan St Patricks with four players grabbing hat-tricks. Samantha Simpson crossed for four tries while Amy Daniels, Roxette Mura and Rebekah Wilson all also scoring three apiece. Rowanne Smalley and Aimie Toher were also on the scoresheet.

There were victories for both of the Armed Forces sides as the Army knocked out Huddersfield Giants 34-12 and the RAF Ladies beat current Championship leaders Leigh Miners Rangers, 28-18.

Stanningley saw off Featherstone Lionesses in comfortable fashion thanks to a fantastic second half performance, live on Our League.

Halifax also progressed to the Second Round with a 24-14 win over Hull Kingston Rovers. Tries from Hermani Grace, Rachel Twibill, Caitlin Ryan, Kelly Darragh and Kara Colvin ensured ‘Fax moved on in the competition.

Barrow comfortably dispatched of Rochdale Hornets 12-56.

The standout tie of the Second Round draw – which was conducted live on Our League – will see local rivals Castleford Tigers host Featherstone Rovers, both of whom are in the Women’s Super League.

There is another all Super League tie between York City Knights and Leeds Rhinos while Wakefield Trinity will face Widnes Vikings in a match which mirrors the Men’s upcoming Sixth Round.

Both of the Armed Forces sides will now host Super League opposition in Round Two as they welcome the visits of Bradford Bulls and Wigan Warriors, respectively. Stanningley also will host Super League opposition in St Helens.

Keighley Albion will host Halifax and Barrow face Warrington Wolves in the remaining fixtures.
