Toulouse Olympique continue to build their squad ahead of next year’s Betfred Championship with the extension of Ilias Bergal’s contract until the end of the 2022 season.
Bergal joined Olympique from fellow Championship side Leigh Centurions at the start of the 2019 season and - despite only featuring in nine fixtures - crossed for nine tries, helped by scoring six in a solitary match against Rochdale Hornets.
The 24-year-olds career began with Saint-Esteve before spells with Leigh, Swinton Lions and Workington Town.
Bergal has also earned three caps for his country after making his international debut for France against Lebanon in the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.
Bergal said: “I am very happy to have re-signed with Toulouse and to be able to continue the adventure in search of the Super League.”
Toulouse Olympique President, Bernard Sarrazain, said: “Our supporters have seen too little of Ilias in action, unfortunately.
“But now his health concerns are behind him, I know he will raise the crowds and help achieve our goal.”
