Marcus Griffiths joined the Grade 1 List as a touch judge in 2015, and as a referee three years later, before earning promotion to the Full-Time panel in 2019. He was a touch judge in both the Coral Challenge Cup Final and the Betfred Super League Grand Final in 2019, having refereed the League 1 Play-Off Final in 2018. His refereeing hero was the Australian, Matt Cecchin.
