The Futures programme was established in 2022, building on the legacy of the World Cup, to develop a playing offering for more high-school aged girls in community clubs. The programme aims to support clubs to prioritise the establishment of a sustainable offering for girls, consisting of a training and development group to participate in informal offerings and develop confidence and skills, before eventually progressing to form a team to participate in structured competition play.

Clubs who are interested in developing brand new girls’ activity in the U12 age group are invited to apply for a small grant through the Futures programme to kickstart their journey by completing and submitting the application form below. Applications received will enter a 2-step review process, initially by the Women & Girls delivery team and subsequently by the Girls Management Group. Approved applicants will then receive funding up to the value of £500 for their new girls’ activity
