George Flanagan of Bradford Bulls has been suspended for 10 matches and fined £250 after being found guilty of attacking an opponent’s testicles. The Grade F incident occurred in the 32nd minute of the Bulls’ Challenge Cup Second Round tie with Featherstone Rovers on Sunday 21 March. Flanagan had pleaded not guilty.

Tonight’s Operational Rules Tribunal also considered Match Review Panel referrals against Callum Phillips of Whitehaven and West Wales Raiders’ Jamie Murphy – both in respect of dangerous throws during their club’s respective Round 2 Challenge Cup ties against Dewsbury Rams and Widnes Vikings.

Phillips pleaded guilty but challenged the grading. The tribunal found the Match Review Panel’s Grade D grading to be correct and suspended him for four matches with a £250 fine. Murphy admitted a Grade E charge and is suspended for five matches. He was also fined £75.
