Alex Sutcliffe claimed a brace of tries as Featherstone Rovers knocked Leigh Centurions out of the Betfred Championship play-offs with a 34-18 victory in the elimination final at Leigh Sports Village.

Sutcliffe opened the scoring before James Harrison, Callum McLellan, Josh Walters, Dane Chisholm also crossed over and the latter added the extras plus a penalty.

The hosts replied with tries from Junior Sau, Tom Spencer, Stefan Marsh and Toby Adamson as Ryan Brierley was successful with just one conversion.

Featherstone's victory set up a semi-final against York City Knights, who suffered a heavy 44-6 defeat to Toulouse Olympique in Saturday's qualifying final.

Mark Kheirallah scored a brace of tries as Toulouse eased past York to book a last-four clash against league leaders Toronto Wolfpack.

Kheirallah was also successful with six goals at Stade Ernest Argeles as Paul Marcon, Gavin Marguerite, Anthony Marion, Mathieu Jussaume, Jonathon Ford and Stanislas Robin added a try apiece.

Matt Chilton replied for the City Knights after 26 minutes with Connor Robinson on target with the conversion but it was all the visitors could muster.
