The Rugby Football League (RFL) has appointed an independent investigator to compile a report into the events which took place off the field during the Catalans Dragons versus Warrington Wolves fixture on Saturday 3 August.
This investigation, which is ongoing, will review evidence from a range of sources, including video evidence obtained from broadcasters inside the ground and posted online.
The RFL’s Match Review Panel (MRP) has already considered allegations relating to the on-field actions of several players during the game and has formally charged Catalans Dragons’ Kenny Edwards for allegedly inciting the crowd during the off-field events. This matter will be considered by an independent RFL Tribunal at a hearing taking place this evening (Tuesday 6 August).
