In 2022, he led England Wheelchair to a dramatic and famous victory in the Rugby League World Cup Final, as they triumphed France 28-24 on home soil.

Because of this, they are the current Wheelchair World Champions.

In the King's 2023 Birthday Honours, Coyd was awarded an MBE for his services to Wheelchair Rugby League.

His side are currently embarking on a Wheelchair Ashes Series tour in Australia, which gets underway this autumn. It’s going to be a four-match trip Down Under.
