Female Health Programme
Creating Better Environments for Women and Girls in Rugby League
WHAT IS IT?
The Female Health Programme has been developed to give coaches the knowledge, confidence and practical tools to better support women and girls playing Rugby League.
Female athletes face unique physical and health-related challenges throughout their playing journey. From puberty and the menstrual cycle to injury prevention, nutrition, wellbeing and communication, these topics can directly influence participation, performance and enjoyment of the game. Yet many coaches have never had access to education that helps them understand these areas.
This programme changes that.
Through expert-led learning, practical coaching resources and real-life experiences from within the female game, coaches will develop a greater understanding of the factors that can impact female players and learn how to create environments where every player feels supported, understood and able to thrive.
