Eagles keep up the pressure
Sheffield closed the gap on Championship leaders Halifax to a single point with a thumping 46-14 win over York at Bramall Lane.
The Eagles were in front after just four minutes through Andrew Henderson, and further tries from Vinny Finigan (two), Duane Straugheir, Menzie Yere (two), Quentin Laulu-Togagae and Tom Armstrong helped settle the contest.
Dominic Brambani added seven goals for the home side.
York were still in the match at half-time thanks to tries from George Elliot and Jon Presley, trailing 18-8.
However, they could only dot down once after the interval, again through Presley, on what proved to be a miserable evening for the Knights.
