Betfred Championship Preview

The Betfred Championship continues after a Storm Ciara-affected second week, with Leigh Centurions vs York City Knights drawing the early attention.

Leigh have started 2020 in superb form; ran out 58-10 winners at home to Sheffield Eagles on Saturday after brushing aside Dewsbury 36-10 away from home in round one.

Adam Higson will be hoping to back up a 17-minute hat-trick from Saturday with another strong performance against a York side who will be keen to get off the mark after a 22-10 loss at Toulouse was followed by a postponement.

Elsewhere, one perfect record will go as London Broncos travel to Widnes Vikings - the pair having both won their opening two fixtures, as Toulouse head to Sheffield Eagles looking to back up their impressive 58-6 demolition of Oldham last week.

There's a West Yorkshire derby in Halifax with Dewsbury Rams the visitors - 'Fax will be hoping to collect their second win of the season after a dramatic 18-17 win over Sheffield in round one.

Swinton - 14-0 winners at Whitehaven in their only league fixture on 2020 - take their vibrant squad to Batley Bulldogs in round three, with the Bulldogs hoping for their first points of the season after back-to-back defeats at the hands of Featherstone Rovers and Widnes Vikings respectively.

There's a heavyweight tussle at the Tetley's Stadium on Sunday as Bradford Bulls welcome Featherstone Rovers. Rovers talisman Dane Chisholm will miss the match through suspension as the Bulls search for their first win of the season, following an 18-14 defeat by London Broncos in round one.

And rounding off the weekend is Whitehaven vs Oldham, which will be broadcast live on Our League, 6.15pm kick off. Sign up to watch for FREE at rugby-league.com/ourleague.
