Danny Langtree scored a hat-trick as Oldham finished second in Betfred League 1 following a 34-20 victory at Hunslet Hawks.
Whitehaven's 72-0 hammering of Coventry Bears on Saturday saw them wrap up the title, meaning Oldham had to focus on securing second spot.
Zach Braham, Danny Bridge, Jimmy Watson, Langtree twice and Nathan Chappell traded tries before Joe Sanderson kicked Hunslet into a 20-18 half-time lead.
It was all Oldham in the second half and Paul Crook booted two penalties and scored a try while Langtree completed his treble.
Newcastle Thunder were third following a 32-22 victory at Keighley Cougars.
Alexander Clegg, Nicholas Newman and Kieran Gill all crossed twice for the Thunder, with Rhys Clarke kicking three goals and Matthew Wright one.
Taylor Prell grabbed a brace of tries and Kieran Moran and Davey Dixon went over for the Cougars.
Doncaster leapfrogged Hunslet into fourth place courtesy of a 30-4 triumph over Workington Town.
Tom Halliday crossed twice and Jason Tali, Matty Beharrell and Frankie Mariano scored tries for Doncaster, with Caine Barnes recording Town's only effort.
Whitehaven sealed promotion following a thrashing of Coventry with Jordan Burns registering a hat-trick of tries.
Jake Moore, Dave Thompson and Callum Phillips went over twice while Marc Shackley, Chris Taylor, Carl Forster and Andrew Bulman also crossed.
Also on Saturday, two tries apiece from Rob Massam and Stephen Wild led North Wales Crusaders to a 36-18 victory over London Skolars.
