Jay Pitts scored a dramatic late try to hand London Broncos a 20-16 victory over Hull KR which keeps their Betfred Super League survival hopes alive.

Hull KR led 16-14 with two minutes remaining but captain Pitts charged over the line to put his team ahead and Kieran Dixon converted.

The result means Rovers are not safe from the drop and London will stay up if they claim a final-round victory at Wakefield next week.

St Helens scored 24 points in each half as they wrapped up their home Super League campaign in style with a comfortable 48-6 win over relegation-threatened Huddersfield at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

In-form prop Luke Thompson got a brace while Lachlan Coote had a perfect night with the boot, kicking eight goals from as many attempts.

The victory ensured the League Leaders Shield winners completed the regular season without losing a game on home soil, an ominous record which will give them huge confidence ahead of the play-offs.

Bevan French grabbed his first Super League hat-trick as Wigan Warriors moved a step closer to securing second place with a convincing 46-12 win over Catalans Dragons.

French completed his hat-trick five minutes after half-time, while further tries from Zak Hardaker and Thomas Leuluai put the Warriors in full control before teenage half-back Harry Smith came off the bench to mark his first-team debut with a try.

Dan Sarginson and Oliver Gildart grabbed tries late on, while for Catalans Michael McIlorum and Lewis Tierney both scored tries and Sam Tomkins added the conversions.

Warrington survived a brave second-half fightback from Wakefield to claim a 23-16 victory at the Halliwell Jones Stadium and secure their place in the play-offs.

Warrington's tries came from Daryl Clark, Bryson Goodwin, Ben Currie and Josh Charnley while Stefan Ratchford kicked three goals and Dec Patton a drop goal.

Wakefield claimed tries through Morgan Escare, Ben Jones-Bishop and Ryan Hampshire and two goals from Danny Brough.

Salford Red Devils notched their seventh win in a row and all-but confirmed their place in the semi-finals with a hard-fought 20-12 victory over Leeds Rhinos.

The Red Devils scored tries through Niall Evalds, Jake Bibby and Joey Lussick. Krisnan Inu kicked four goals.

On Thursday, Jake Trueman scored a hat-trick to leave Castleford on the brink of the play-offs as Hull faced up to an early finish to their season.

The young half-back enhanced his burgeoning reputation in a 44-12 win.
