The draw for the Sixth Round of the Coral Challenge Cup was held tonight (Monday 16 March) at MediaCity in Salford, with holders Warrington Wolves being drawn away at Wigan Warriors in the stand-out tie.
Other notable ties include Salford Red Devils versus St Helens – a repeat of the 2019 Betfred Super League Grand Final – and League 1 Newcastle Thunder, the lowest-ranked team in the competition, against Toronto Wolfpack.
Matches are provisionally scheduled for the weekend of 4/5 April, although this is subject to change given the ongoing uncertainty resulting from the coronavirus crisis.
The full draw is as follows.
Leeds Rhinos versus Hull Kingston Rovers.
Newcastle Thunder versus Toronto Wolfpack
Salford Red Devils versus St Helens
Sheffield Eagles versus Hull FC
Wakefield Trinity versus Featherstone Rovers
Widnes Vikings versus Catalans Dragons
Wigan Warriors versus Warrington Wolves
York City Knights versus Castleford Tigers
Prior to the draw taking place, the Rugby Football League and Super League Europe announced a suspension of fixtures, initially until 3 April, during which time the season’s structure and fixture rescheduling will be considered. Should the ties go ahead as scheduled, the BBC will screen one on Saturday 4 April and another on Sunday 5th.
