RFL President’s Cup 2026 Round 3 fixture has been cancelled

RFL President’s Cup 2026 Round 3 fixture has been cancelled

The RFL President’s Cup 2026 Round fixture between England Universities and United Kingdom Armed Forces, scheduled to take place on Wednesday 10th June at Halton Farnworth Hornets has been cancelled.

The cancellation is at the request of UKAF who are unable to raise a side due to a combination of injuries and player availability as a result of increased overseas and frontline deployments in the Royal Navy, the Army and the Royal Air Force. Whilst both sides are disappointed that the fixture will not take place, both organisations understand the global pressures that our nation’s armed forces are under and the reasons for the game’s cancellation.

England Universities will be awarded the fixture 24-0 and will finish the competition as runners up, with Great Britain Teachers having already sealed the title after a 34-10 Round 1 victory over the students and a 42-12 win over UKAF in Round 2.

England will complete their Student Four Nations campaign facing Ireland (6th June) at Halton Farnworth before travelling Wales (20th June) for the final match in Neath.
