Betfred Challenge Cup Final Entertainment line-up confirmed with One Month to Go

With just one month to go until the Betfred Challenge Cup Final on Saturday 30 May, RL Commercial can today confirm an exciting schedule of entertainment lined up for across the day.

Returning to Wembley Stadium is Laura Wright who will sing Abide with Me and the National Anthem before the Men’s Betfred Challenge Cup Final.

As one of the world’s leading classical artists, Wright has featured at a number of major sporting events, including the recent Randox Grand National and last season’s ABK Beer Rugby League Ashes tests.

Performing at half-time of the Men’s Final as part of the Join the Momentum dance performance is 24-year-old singer-songwriter Michael Aldag.

A self-taught producer, Aldag delivers a rich blend of emotionally charged indie-pop woven with infectious melodies that are guaranteed to captivate fans of all ages.

He has built a loyal fanbase through TikTok with his raw lyrics, and authentic online presence, selling out four UK headline tours and performing at major festivals including Reading and Leeds and BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend.

Joining Laura and Michael are a series of thrilling entertainers who are certain to bring the atmosphere to Wembley Stadium.

Jasmine Faulkner, a British Iranian soprano, will perform Abide with Me and the National Anthem ahead of the Women’s Challenge Cup Final.

Faulkner has built an international career performing on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup Finals, Windsor Castle in front of Royalty and London Fashion Week, alongside regular appearances across the globe.

The voice of Rugby League, Pete Nuttall, will again be the pitch side host and will this year be joined by Ellie Scarlett Smith. Ellie is a high-energy Northern host known for presenting across major sporting and live events, from World Table Tennis and the Silverstone and Miami Grands Prix to the world’s biggest dance convention, Move It.

She tours nationally with the live show Extreme Robots and has hosted The Hundred at Headingley, the Kia Oval, and the iconic Lord’s.

And bringing the energy to Wembley Stadium will be DJ Charlie Burley who can be heard across a variety of sporting events and radio.

Having played huge venues like Lord's, The Oval and the Principality and Tottenham Hotspur Stadiums, Charlie is no stranger to playing in front of a big crowd and is certain to get Wembley Stadium moving.
