The schedule for the Betfred Challenge Cup semi-finals has been confirmed with Warrington Wolves’ Halliwell Jones Stadium and Doncaster’s Eco-Power Stadium hosting.

St Helens will face Wigan Warriors at Warrington on Saturday May 9 (KO 2.30pm) in a game that will be televised live on BBC1.

Holders Hull KR then tackle Warrington in the other semi-final tie in Doncaster on Sunday May 10 (KO 4pm), broadcast live on BBC2, as Super League sides battle it out for a place at the Wembley showpiece on May 30.

Both days will see double-headers as the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup semi-finals are also taking place.

The first tie at Warrington will kick-off at 11.30am while the game at Doncaster starts at 1pm, with both shown live on BBC iPlayer.

Tickets for the semi-finals go on sale to club members on Wednesday (noon) for a 48-hour priority window with any remaining tickets going on general sale on Friday.

Saints reached the last-four after defeating Catalans Dragons 36-4 while Wigan, who have won the Cup a record 21 times, progressed courtesy of a thrilling 26-22 win at Wakefield Trinity.

The Robins made it into the hat after they avenged an opening night Super League loss at York Knights, prospering 48-10 at Sewell Group Craven Park.

Warrington, beaten by KR in last year’s final, edged another tense affair 24-10 against Leigh Leopards.

The Wakefield versus Wigan contest reached a peak audience of more than half a million (539,200), making it the biggest average match audience and peak audience for any game this season.

More than 30,000 fans attended the four quarter-finals, the fourth biggest aggregate since 2009.
