The draw for the semi-finals of the Men’s Betfred Challenge Cup will be made live on BBC One by football legend Chris Kamara MBE and former Challenge Cup winner Jamie Peacock MBE during half-time of the quarter-final clash between Wakefield Trinity and Wigan Warriors on Sunday (12 April, 1pm KO).
A resident of Wakefield for 40 years, Chris Kamara enjoyed a distinguished career spanning both professional football and broadcasting. As a player, he made over 600 appearances in the English Football League, representing clubs including Leeds United, Bradford City, and Stoke City. He later became one of the most recognisable faces in sports broadcasting through his long-standing role on Soccer Saturday.
Jamie Peacock enjoyed a remarkable Challenge Cup career, cementing his status as one of the sport’s most dominant forwards in the knockout competition. Representing both Bradford Bulls and Leeds Rhinos, Peacock played in seven Challenge Cup Finals and lifted the trophy at Wembley Stadium on four occasions.
