The RFL celebrates one year of the RFL Community Trust and the Week of Social Impact 2025

The RFL are pleased to celebrate one year of the RFL Community Trust’s public launch, during the Week of Social Impact 2025. The RFL Community Trust is dedicated to celebrating and furthering the social impact mission of the RFL, striving to make a tangible difference in the lives of people across the country. 

This year alone, the RFL Community Trust are proud to have established key partnerships that help deliver and further our social impact mission, by committing to tackling inequalities, achieving social justice and social cohesion. 

During The Week of Social Impact 2025, the RFL and the RFL Community Trust are excited to join our charitable foundations once again in spotlighting the incredible work that’s ongoing within our communities and celebrate all that has been achieved so far. Specifically, this year's Week of Social Impact is focused on “Building a Better Future”. 

So, what to look out for during the Week of Social Impact? 

• Monday 20th October – The RFL Community Trust partner spotlight and how to get involved.  
• Tuesday 21st October – Social Cohesion spotlight and a volunteering day at Rochdale Mayfield ARLFC. 
• Wednesday 22nd October – Tackling Inequalities spotlight and a London community club and schools' activation with England RL players. 
• Thursday 23rd October – Social Justice spotlight and the launch of a free CPD training series for our charitable delivery partner Foundation workforce focused on inclusion. 
• Friday 24th October – Week of Social Impact reflection and key engagement figures for the year. 

We also have 1,100+ participants of social impact projects attending the ABK Rugby League Ashes Test Match at Wembley Stadium Saturday 25th October.  

The week is a chance to get involved, whether by participating in local events, sharing your own Rugby League stories, or simply spreading the word about the incredible work being done in your community. We encourage everyone participating in this year’s Week of Social Impact to use #OurLeagueLife and #LeagueByImpact. 

The Week of Social Impact is more than just a series of events it’s a call to action. It’s a reminder that each of us has a role to play in fostering a community that cares, supports, and uplifts one another. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or new to the sport, this week is an opportunity to understand the profound and undeniable impact Rugby League has on people’s lives.
