An independent Operational Rules Tribunal has imposed a nine-point deduction on Warrington Wolves for their failure to fulfil four fixtures in the 2025 Betfred Women’s Super League season.
The fixtures – against St Helens on July 27, Leeds Rhinos on August 31, Leigh Leopards on September 7 and Wigan Warriors on September 14 – had each been awarded to the opposition with a 48-0 scoreline, following decisions by the RFL Board.
The RFL Compliance Department took subsequent action because of the breaches of Operational Rules A1:11 (a), B1:14, B2:4 and D1:1.
The punishment means that Warrington end the 2025 BWSL season on minus 9 points.
They have already been relegated from the 2026 BWSL – with Featherstone Rovers securing promotion to replace them at the weekend, after victory over London Broncos in the Northern Championship Grand Final.
Warrington’s position in the national pyramid from 2026 is still to be determined.
