The Sportsman to show Friday night Eliminator between Oldham and Halifax Panthers

The 2025 Betfred Championship Play-Offs kick off this Friday night, and The Sportsman will be streaming the clash between Oldham and Halifax Panthers on their YouTube channel.

Both of the elimination Play-Offs have been scheduled for Friday, with Bradford Bulls hosting Featherstone Rovers in the other match.

York Knights and Toulouse Olympique are confirmed as this year’s Semi-Finalists and will now sit back and wait to see who they will be playing in less than two weeks’ time – in each case with home advantage.

This week, two semi-final spots are at stake, as four teams begin their charge to the 2025 Championship Grand Final.

Brian Noble’s Bulls will be aiming for a repeat of their 22-8 win against Paul Cooke’s Rovers in the final round of regular season fixtures last Sunday at Bartercard Odsal.

It’s also a rematch of last year’s feisty Eliminator, where Bradford progressed to the semi-finals following a compelling 25-12 win.

Featherstone are no strangers to a Championship Grand Final, however, and know the journey required to get there.

Who will be reaching the semis this time round?

Meanwhile, Panthers coach Kyle Eastmond will return to his hometown of Oldham for another intriguing match.

Halifax are in fine form having won their last five league matches, but it's going to be a tough ask when they pay a visit for Boundary Park on Friday.

Sean Long’s men secured a top four finish three weeks ago to ensure a home tie in the Play-Offs – a remarkable story for the Roughyeds, who were promoted to the second tier less than 12 months ago.

Oldham have completed a league double over ‘Fax so far in 2025, having faced them in quick succession back in May and June.

June's contest produced a classic, with Oldham edging a pulsating 20-23 win. What will Friday's Eliminator bring?

Oldham v Halifax Panthers (4th v 5th) – KO 8pm - live on The Sportsman

Bradford Bulls v Featherstone Rovers (3rd v 6th) – KO 7.45pm

After securing the League Leaders’ Shield, York Knights will then host the lowest ranked winner, and Toulouse Olympique will host the highest ranked winner in the Semi-Finals the following weekend.

The Betfred Championship Grand Final will be played across the weekend of 3-5 October.
