It’s Round 10 of the Betfred Championship with seven enticing fixtures coming your way this weekend…
The round will kick-off with a West Yorkshire derby between Wakefield Trinity and Dewsbury Rams at the DIY Kitchens Stadium on Friday night.
It’s top versus bottom as Trinity look to maintain their unbeaten run in 2024, while the Rams are searching for their first win since March.
With there being just one week to go until the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final at Wembley, can Daryl Powell’s men keep their eyes firmly on the league for tonight’s clash?
Likewise, Sheffield Eagles, who are also this year’s 1895 Cup Finalists, will firstly have to make a trip to Batley for Round 10 of the Championship competition.
The Bulldogs will be seeking revenge from their last meeting, in which the Eagles beat their opponents 26-10 in this year’s 1895 Cup Quarter Finals.
But first, Halifax, who enjoyed an emphatic home win last weekend, host Toulouse Olympique at The Shay on Saturday. The Panthers impressed in Round 9, returning to winning ways with a five-try spectacle over Doncaster.
Toulouse will be searching for a fourth consecutive win, so it is expected to be a gutsy affair between the two. Can ‘Fax claim back-to-back wins?
On Sunday it’s a return to action at Bartercard Odsal, with Eamon O’Carroll looking for an immediate response from his Bulls side who suffered a dramatic loss to Batley last weekend.
They will welcome Barrow Raiders to the city, where a victory for the Raiders would see them move to be level on points with Bradford in the league table. A win for the Bulls however, would see the West Yorkshire side cement themselves in the top six for another week running as the race for the Play-Offs starts hotting up.
Barrow have won the last four meetings against Bradford and will be boosted by their huge win over Featherstone in Round 9. Who will come out on top in Round 10?
Elsewhere, Doncaster, Featherstone and York all have home ties this weekend. Featherstone have won their last 16 meetings against Swinton and will be looking to bounce back on Sunday in front of their home crowd.
Meanwhile, a recently resurged York will be looking for their third successive win, but have a tough test on their hands when they welcome Widnes Vikings to the LNER Community Stadium. And it’s a trip to the Eco-Power Stadium for Whitehaven, as Doncaster seek three home wins on the spin, while Whitehaven would look to climb the league ladder and catch up with the hosts.
