Betfred Challenge Cup: Semi-final draw arrangements for the Men’s and Women’s competitions

The draws for the semi-finals of both the Men’s and Women’s competitions in the Betfred Challenge Cup will be made live on BBC at approximately 5.20pm on Sunday (14 April), during half-time of the televised quarter-final tie between St Helens and Warrington Wolves. 

Ball numbers will be allocated on the basis of the chronological order in which quarter-final ties are played. First up will be the draw for the semi-finals of the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup, followed immediately by the draw for the Men’s.


Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup semi-final draw ball numbers:  

1.      Leeds Rhinos or Warrington Wolves   

2.      St Helens or Huddersfield Giants  

3.      Wigan Warriors or Cardiff Demons  

4.      York Valkyrie or Featherstone Rovers


Betfred Men’s Challenge Cup semi-final draw ball numbers 

1.      Hull KR or Leigh Leopards 

2.      Catalans Dragons or Huddersfield Giants 

3.      Castleford Tigers or Wigan Warriors 

4.      St Helens or Warrington Wolves 


Quarter-final action in the Men’s competition gets underway on at 5pm Saturday (13 April), when Hull KR take on Leigh Leopards in a repeat of last year’s Wembley final, won by Leigh Leopards in golden point extra time. Coverage begins on BBC2 at 4.45pm. The other quarter-final ties are: 

·       Catalans Dragons v Huddersfield Giants – Saturday 13 April, 7pm   

·       Castleford Tigers v Wigan Warriors – Sunday 14 April, 3pm  

·       St Helens v Warrington Wolves – Sunday 14 April, 4.30pm (BBC2 from 4.15pm) 


The Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup quarter-finals begin at 12noon on Saturday, when holders St Helens play Huddersfield Giants and last year’s beaten finalists, Leeds Rhinos, face Warrington Wolves. The other quarter-final ties are:

·       Wigan Warriors v Cardiff Demons, Saturday 13 April, 2pm  

·       York Valkyrie v Featherstone Rovers, Sunday 14 April, 12noon

The semi-finals of both competitions will be played as Men’s/Women’s double-headers on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May. Venues and ticketing arrangements will be announced as early as possible in week commencing Monday 15 April. 


Both finals will be played at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 8 June, as part of a Finals Day triple-header alongside the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final. Tickets are available online now from only £20 Adults and £10 Under 16s, with family packages also available.
