Try Tag Rugby League in London this Friday

Try Tag Rugby League in London this Friday

The second season of Try Tag Rugby’s London Vets League kicks off early in the New Year – and anybody wanting to give it a go in advance can enjoy a free taster session in the capital this Friday (8 December).

Try Tag Rugby is a social, non-contact, 7-a-side format of the game with no gender restrictions. To give it a go, women aged 37 and over and men aged over 40 can register now at trytagrugby.com for Friday evening’s 7.40pm session at Paddington Rec.

A second taster session will be held on Friday 12 January ahead of the start of the London Vets League on 19 January.

The taster sessions follow the inaugural and highly successful Try Tag Rugby London Vets league which ran in the autumn and involved players aged 40 to 66 – including three in their sixties. Season One was characterised by a triumphant blend of on-field action and post-match camaraderie, with players highly encouraged to socialise post-match.

Teams for Season 2 will be picked randomly using a Champion’s League-style draw, with players of varying ages and abilities evenly spread across all the sides. Registration is also now open for individuals at trytagrugby.com

Try Tag Rugby has plans to roll out Vets leagues throughout the UK during Spring and Summer 2024. Find out more via the Try Tag Rugby website.
