More tickets released for the Betfred Women's Super League Grand Final

More tickets released for the Betfred Women's Super League Grand Final

More tickets have this morning been released for the climax of the Betfred Women’s Super League season in York this Sunday (October 8), with the possibility of a new crowd record being set at the LNER Community Stadium.

With Grand Finalists York Valkyrie and Leeds Rhinos both selling out of their original allocations, and Promotion Play-Offs Finalists Barrow Raiders and Leigh Leopards also receiving significant support, tickets have been made available behind the posts in the North Stand.

Sales have already surpassed the figure for the 2022 Grand Final at the Totally Wicked Stadium in St Helens, and with tickets also available from the East Stand ticket office on matchday, there is a strong chance of beating the record of 4,235 set at Headingley in 2021, when St Helens won the title for the first time.

Thomas Brindle, the General Manager of the BWSL, said:

“It’s already been an historic season for Women’s Rugby League with the Challenge Cup Final being played at Wembley for the first time, and it’s going to finish with a bang in York this weekend.

“The repeat of the 2022 Grand Final has captured the imagination of both sets of fans, as York Valkyrie aim for revenge and their first BWSL title after losing to Leeds Rhinos in St Helens last year.

“The Promotion Play-Off Final between Barrow Raiders and Leigh Leopards is proving another big attraction, with two clubs who have invested heavily in the women’s game battling for a place in the expanded top tier in 2024.

“The LNER Community Stadium in York has a real history of staging Women’s Rugby League events, after the prominent role in last year’s World Cup including a record crowd for the Semi Finals, and Sunday promises to be another memorable occasion.”

The Betfred Women’s Super League Grand Final will take place at the LNER Community Stadium on Sunday 8 October 8, with live and exclusive coverage on Sky Sports from 3pm. The Group Two promotion Final between Barrow Raiders and Leigh Leopards will take place at 12pm live on Our League.

Tickets – priced £10 Adults, £7.50 Concessions and £2.50 Under 16s – are on sale now at eticketing.co.uk/rugbyleagueand will also be available to purchase on the day via the East Stand ticket office.
