Betfred Challenge Cup Second Round ties confirmed

The details for the Second Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup have now been confirmed.

Thirteen of the 19 ties will be played on Saturday week, February 25 - including Cornwall's Challenge Cup debut against Rochdale Mayfield, which will be shown live on the BBC iPlayer with a 1pm kick-off.

The remaining six ties will be played the following day, with Hull Dockers versus Midlands Hurricanes being played at Sewell Group Craven Park, the home of Hull KR, and streamed live by The Sportsman on their Rugby League Youtube channel (kick-off, 245pm).

Saturday’s ties include Dublin City Exiles continuing their Challenge Cup adventure at Orrell St James, after claiming an historic first Irish victory in the competition with their First Round win against Hammersmith Hills Hoists.

West Warriors, the Southern Conference League champions who produced arguably the result of the First Round with their win at Skirlaugh, will host their SCL rivals London Chargers at the historic home of Wasps RFC in Acton.

Ashton Bears have agreed with Dewsbury Rams that their tie will be played at the FLAIR Stadium, with a 2pm kick-off, while the Royal Navy will face North Wales Crusaders in Colwyn Bay, also at 2pm.

Sunday's games include Great Britain Police hosting Westgate Common at Portico Panthers in St Helens at 2pm, while there are two all-League One ties - Rochdale Hornets versus London Skolars kicking off at 1pm, and Doncaster versus Oldham kicking off at 3pm.

Two Hunslet teams will enter the competition at the Second Round stage.

On Saturday, Hunslet ARLFC, the new community club who have been formed from a merger of Hunslet Club Parkside - the 2022 National Conference League champions - and Hunslet Warriors, will host Pilkington Recs.

Then on Sunday the Hunslet professional club, twice Challenge Cup winners in 1908 and 1934, host Heworth at the South Leeds Stadium.
