The RFL is proud to announce that consumer champion Checkatrade, the UK’s leading trade directory, is to become an official partner of its flagship competition, the Coral Challenge Cup.
Checkatrade connects consumers with recommended, vetted and monitored tradespeople via an interactive, online database containing the contact details of more than 34,000 businesses. Consumers can search free for tradespeople in their own locality, while trades undergo a vetting process before they can join and be promoted via the platform.
RFL Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Foster, says: “We are delighted to enter into partnership with such an increasingly popular and ambitious brand as Checkatrade.
“There is a strong synergy between the members and consumers of Checkatrade and Rugby League supporters, and we look forward to a mutually beneficial working relationship.”
Mike Fairman, Checkatrade CEO, confirmed: “We’re thrilled to partner with one of sports most famous competitions. The Coral Challenge Cup offers a national platform to support our ambitious growth plans and we look forward to bringing the historic excitement of the Challenge Cup and the Women’s Challenge Cup to our customers and tradespeople, particularly in the North.”
In addition, Checkatrade will become title partner of ‘Try of the Week’ – regularly the most popular piece of content on the RFL’s ‘Our League’ app. Try of the Week will become known as the Checkatrade Try of the Week.
