
With the 2021 Women's Rugby League World Cup on the horizon, we take a look at how our England stars got on in the Betfred Women's Challenge Cup this week.
Sunday: Bradford Bulls 4-76 York City Knights
Olivia Wood scored a hat-trick of tries in a huge win for York over Bradford at Odsal on Sunday afternoon.
Operating from loose forward, two of those tries came in the first half, while there was also a hat-trick for Kelsey Gentles, who came off the bench to score her second-half treble.
Prop Grace Field scored twice for the visitors inside the first 15 minutes, while Savannah Andrade was also a first-half tryscorer. Hollie Dodd played in the unfamiliar position of hooker but impressed in a comfortable win for the Knights.
Sunday: Leigh Miners Rangers 6-46 Huddersfield Giants
Shona Hoyle started in the second row for Huddersfield in a convincing win on the road.
Though she didn't trouble the scorers, the England regular was industrious throughout and helped her side rack up a 24-0 interval lead before running away with a comfortable win in the second 40.
Sunday: St Helens 88-0 The Army
St Helens were in imperious form on Sunday afternoon as they made it two wins from two in their Cup title defence.
In a huge win which was shown live on Our League, centre Carrie Roberts led the way with four tries against her former side. There was also a hat-trick for forward Paige Travis, a double for both Naomi Williams and Amy Hardcastle, plus a try each for Tara Jones and Leah Burke.
There were starts for Jodie Cunningham, Emily Rudge, Beth Stott and Chantelle Crowl for the dominant Saints.
Sunday: Wigan Warriors 62-0 Dewsbury Moor
Georgia Wilson was the sole England representative on show as Wigan produced a big home win on Sunday.
Wilson started at full-back for the Warriors her side made it two wins from three games in Group 3 of the Challenge Cup. Though she didn't bag a try this time, she managed five goals from seven attempts for a ten-point haul.
