Featherstone Rovers extended their perfect start to the Betfred Championship campaign by beating London Broncos 30-12.
Leaders Rovers ran in five tries as Brian McDermott’s side made it four wins from four. Rovers are two points clear of Leigh Centurions, Widnes Vikings and Barrow Raiders at the top of the table.
Brandon Pickersgill put Rovers ahead as the full-back continued his impressive try-scoring form. Broncos hooker Dean Parata touched down to ensure parity but Gareth Gale soon crossed to give Rovers a six-point half-time lead.
Gale doubled his account before the Broncos replied through half-back Oliver Leyland. But Pickersgill and Craig Hall completed the scoring to ease Rovers home.
Leigh moved into second on points difference with a comprehensive 40-4 victory at York City Knights. York scored the only try of the first half as hooker Will Jubb reacted first to a loose ball.
But Leigh were ahead 6-4 at the break through three Ben Reynolds goals and the Centurions totally dominated the second half
Reynolds was the star of the show in the second half with two tries and sound goal kicking giving him a 24-point haul. Sam Stone, Caleb Aekins, Ed Chamberlain and Joe Mellor also claimed second-half tries.
Newcastle Thunder scored 24 unanswered second-half points to beat Whitehaven. Thunder scored nine tries in fighting back from 24-16 down at half-time to win 40-24.
Sam Halsall was Thunder's star of the show with a hat-trick and Craig Mullen and Gideon Boafo notched doubles. Matty Nicholson and Josh Eaves also claimed home tries, while Ryan King, Tom Wilkinson, Alex Bishop and Callum Phillips dotted down for Whitehaven.
Sunday's games between Batley Bulldogs and Sheffield Eagles and Bradford Bulls and Barrow Raiders were postponed.
The Workington Town and Halifax Panthers game was also postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
