Betfred Challenge Cup Third Round schedule and coverage confirmed

Betfred Challenge Cup giant-killers Lock Lane will feature on The Sportsman next Saturday as they aim to add the scalp of Rochdale Hornets.

The renowned Castleford community club shocked Rochdale's local League One rivals Oldham in the Second Round.

And the Royal Navy's bid to reach the Fourth Round of the competition for the first time in their history will be featured by the RFL's Our League web and app later the same day, when they take on York Acorn in Portsmouth.

With BBC Sport covering the all-Yorkshire tie between Hunslet and Siddal on Sunday at 1pm, it means Rugby League fans will be able to watch three of the six Third Round ties - on a bumper weekend which also includes the launch of Channel 4's Betfred Super League coverage when Leeds Rhinos face Warrington Wolves.

The Lock Lane versus Rochdale Hornets tie will kick off the Betfred Challenge Cup action at 2.30pm on Saturday, February 12 - with full coverage on The Sportsman's dedicated Rugby League channel on YouTube.

Royal Navy versus York Acorn will follow at 4pm, also available free through the RFL's Our League web and app.

Also on Saturday, two more National Conference League clubs - Rochdale Mayfield and Hunslet Club Parkside - will take on Betfred League One opposition in Doncaster and London Skolars respectively.

Then on Sunday, the Hunslet-Siddal tie will be followed by an all-League One clash between Swinton Lions and North Wales Crusaders.
