Barrow Raiders have been promoted to the Betfred Championship for 2022 after a 76-0 defeat of West Wales Raiders on home turf on Saturday secured the Betfred League 1 title.
Tee Ritson was the star of the show as he scored a club-record seven tries on an afternoon of celebration for the Cumbrian club.
West Wales' squad was decimated by Covid-19 issues in the lead up to kick off, but their makeshift squad put up a brave fight throughout a one-sided affair.
Barrow found their rhythm after a disjointed opening ten minutes, Luke Cresswell going in on the en minute mark and Ryan Shaw kicking the first of ten conversions to make it 6-0.
Ritson bagged an impressive first-half hat-trick, with Callum Bustin and Jarrad Stack also going over to hand the home side a 34-0 interval lead.
And Barrow didn't let up in the second period as Ritson ran in another four scores to secure the new club record in an explosive 25-minute period up to the 69-minute mark.
Those scores were punctuated by Stack's second and tries for local product Charlie Emslie, Declan Hulme and Shane Toal late on as the promotion party got started at Craven Park.
Elsewhere in Betfred League 1 on Satiurday, North Wales Crusaders secured a fourth-placed finish with a fine 44-0 defeat of London Skolars on home turf.
Rob Massam bagged an eye-catching four tries on the day. Gav Rodden, David Eccleston and Patrick Ah Van also got over, while Tommy Johnson contributed a try and seven goals to take him past the 1,500-point mark for the club.
