Warriors to host Rhinos in Women's Challenge Cup semi-final

Warriors to host Rhinos in Women's Challenge Cup semi-final

Ties to be played week-ending July 15.

Wigan Warriors will host fellow Super League title contenders Leeds Rhinos in the Women's Challenge Cup semi-final.

Wigan, whose only league defeat this season came at the hands of Leeds, sit second in the table and ground out an impressive 44-18 win at last year's beaten Cup finalists Featherstone Rovers, to seal their spot in the final four.

Meanwhile Adam Cuthbertson's Rhinos are flying high at the summit of the Women's Super League table, and secured a comfortable 46-10 home win over The Army in the quarter finals.

And York City Knights' reward for a 62-6 quarter-final demolition of Barrow on the road is a trip to in-form Castleford Tigers, who conquered St Helens 30-16 on home turf in the last round.

In the Challenge Shield semi-finals, Challenge Cup holders Bradford Bulls will travel to Wakefield Trinity from the Championship, as Stanningley host third tier Brighouse Rangers.

Ties to be played week-ending July 15.

The Challenge Cup & Shield Finals Day will now take place at Warrington Wolves' Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday, August 4 (KOs TBC).
