The Ladbrokes Challenge Cup second round fixture between Featherstone Lions and Thatto Heath Crusaders at The Millpond Stadium on Saturday, February 10 (2.00pm) has been selected to be live streamed on the BBC Sport website.
Over 23,000 viewed the round one game between Rochdale Mayfield and Crosfields – the first of five to be exclusively live streamed on BBC Sport before the competition reaches round six and beyond when matches will be screened on BBC One and BBC Two over each weekend.
Featherstone Lions, who compete in the National Conference League Division 1, reached the fourth round of this competition in 2015 and 2016. Leeds Rhinos winger, Tom Briscoe, is a product of the club and is the current record holder for number tries in a Challenge Cup final (5).
Current National Conference League Premier Division champions, Thatto Heath Crusaders, went into this year’s Cup competition as the highest ranked side after beating Siddal, who nearly overcome Toronto Wolfpack in the third round last year, 16-12 in the Conference Grand Final in 2017.
